This privacy policy describes how personal data of users who visit the website veeso.me(the "Website") is processed, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 (the "Italian Data Protection Code"), as amended. We only process the data strictly necessary to run the Website, to measure anonymous usage statistics and to handle contact requests.

Data Controller

Types of data collected

Depending on how you interact with the Website, the following categories of data may be processed:

  • Navigation data: technical data automatically collected while browsing the Website, such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, date and time of the request, stored in the hosting provider's logs.
  • Anonymous usage data: aggregated and anonymous statistics about visited pages, collected through Umami without cookies and without any data that can identify you.
  • Data provided voluntarily: the data you enter in the contact form (name, email address and the content of your message) to request information or a quote.

Purposes and legal basis

  • Provision and security of the Website(navigation data): the legal basis is the Controller's legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR) in ensuring the correct operation and security of the Website.
  • Anonymous usage statistics(Umami): the legal basis is the Controller's legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR) in understanding, in aggregated and anonymous form, how the Website is used in order to improve its content and functionality. As the data is anonymous and no cookies are used, no consent is required.
  • Handling of contact requests (contact form): the legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).

Services and external processors

To run the Website we rely on the following providers, acting as data processors (or independent controllers for their own purposes), which may also process data outside the European Union:

  • Vercel Inc.(hosting) — delivers and distributes the Website; processes navigation data and technical logs. Processing may take place in the United States, based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC). Vercel privacy policy.
  • Umami (statistics) — cookieless web analytics service running in anonymous mode, with data hosted in the European Union (cloud.umami.is). It does not collect any data that can identify the user. Umami privacy policy.
  • Web3Forms(contact form) — receives and delivers the data submitted through the contact form. Data is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), encrypted and transmitted over a secure connection (HTTPS); submissions are retained for a maximum of 30 days and then automatically deleted. For spam prevention, the sender's IP address and email may be shared with the CleanTalk and Akismet services. Processing may take place in the United States, based on the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC). Web3Forms privacy policy.

Transfer of data outside the EU

Some of the providers listed above are based in the United States. Any transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area takes place in compliance with Articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR, based on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission.

Retention period

  • Technical navigation logs are retained for as long as necessary for the security and operation of the Website, according to the periods set by the hosting provider.
  • Statistics collected through Umami are anonymous and aggregated and do not allow the user to be identified.
  • Data submitted through the contact form is retained by the provider Web3Forms for a maximum of 30 days, after which it is automatically deleted. The copy received by email by the Controller is kept for as long as necessary to handle the request and any resulting relationship, and in any case no longer than the periods required by law.

Cookies

The Website does not use profiling cookies or third-party tracking cookies. The Umami statistics tool works without cookies. For this reason there is no cookie consent banner.
